About me
Since childhood, I came into contact with photography, the darkroom, contest failures, the photographic gaze, and analog techniques in a natural and everyday way, guided by my father, Manuel Cruzado Cazador. My childhood is filled with images, and years later, photography (initially industrial and advertising, and later social and travel) becomes part of my profession. I transitioned from 35mm to medium format, plate cameras, and digital in my professional career. Nowadays, I am focused on reviving some ancient processes in my personal projects.
I have participated in various courses with national references. I have received several awards: Young Creators of the Valencian Community (1988), Sarthou Carreres Social Award (1998 and 2001), Lux Gold Award in Architecture and Interior Design "Triptychs" from the AFPE (2018), Lux Silver Award in Portrait "Wetplate collodion" from the AFPE (2021), Lux Bronze Award in Still Life painting "Familiar Objects, a glimpe to the Past" from the AFPE (2022), Lux GoldAward in Personal Project "The Legacy of Luis Raluy" from the AFPE (2023), Lux Silver Award in Still Life painting "Familiar Objects, a glimpe to the Past, Part II" from the APFE (2023).Jury Selection: "Pont del SXXI" Architecture NYC4P4 (2024).Honorable Mention: "The Legacy of Luis Raluy" IPA International Photography Awards (2024).Second Prize: Analog/Film, Portrait category "Portraits, Wet Plate Collodion" IPA International Photography Awards (2024)
